This 2001 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R VSpec 2 in TV2 Bayside Blue with just 56,156 km was inspected for a client at USS Tokyo auction on 1 March 2018.
V-Spec II #1168/1855. August 2001 build.
Auction grade 4.5 B. Timing belt replaced August 2011 at 28,894 km.
We investigated the past auction history using Japan Car History Check and their report showed it had been auctioned twice before – once in Nagoya in Oct 2007 with 18,143 km (sold for 5.124 million Yen) and then again in Tokyo in Apr 2017 with 56,124 km (unknown result).
Back at Tokyo in March 2018 with 56,156 km, so had only traveled 32 km in the preceding 10 months indicating it had been in storage or at a dealer.
The latest report noted regular records going back to 2006 together with the following points:

The overall condition was very good other than some minor items.
A few small scratches on the body, chip on the windscreen, and some (very minor) surface rust underneath – really nothing for the age of the car.
It was very tidy, and mechanically it sounded and felt good.
The edge of the right front fender looked a little bent as pictured in the engine bay images.
Mild smoker’s car, but hardly noticeable. Should be Ok with deodorising.
It sold for about 8.5 million Yen FOB, which at the time would have been approx. $133,000 complied in Australia (calculated at 82.3 Yen to the dollar and allowing for Luxury Car Tax).
Considering several other comparable auction results over the prior 2 months, this was relatively cheap for a clean VSpec 2 with low kms.
