This classic 1976 Nissan Skyline C-GC111 2 door coupe was inspected for a client at USS Nagoya auction on 24 November 2017. It was graded 3 with C interior. 89,684 km on the odometer but unknown total kms due to age.
Auction report noted: New engine installed, aftermarket parts including bucket seat, gauges, bonnet, lowered suspension, steering wheel, grille, wheels, overfenders and oil cooler.
Faults mentioned were: Steering wheel worn, interior dirty, underbody scratches and dents, front core support corrosion and hole. Left side step has paint cracks. Front bumper paint peeled off and has some rust. Centre floor has corrosion and hole.
On inspection we found rust throughout the body which had just been painted over and not removed / treated. Front sill panels where you open the doors was rusted through.
Fully repainted in red so original colour was not discernible – paint was wavy but not too bad. Some bubbling of rust was noticeable on the RHR quarter panel.
Otherwise the bodywork was quite good for age.
It sold for 4,800,000 YEN FOB. Total price for import to Australia at the time would have been approx. $57,400 landed (calculated at a rate of 84.5 yen to the dollar).
